Yes, most of the Witch of Whidbey series is fictional.
However, even though I spent lots of time on the island and learned about Ebey in school, I still did my research. This included the Ebey family’s immigration to the U.S. and what happened to the family up through the 1930s (for the island)and a couple of the Ebeys, especially in Texas, up through the ’50s.
