2010

In 2010, I briefly met up with the group Schools For Chiapas before venturing out on my own through Palenque and San Cristobal. While there I was also able to see Monkey for a few minutes. Of course at the time I had no idea who he was or how he related to my past. The guy I was with, Carlos, simply said that people called him Monkey and no one knew anything more about him. Monkey took us to a recording studio in his house where he briefly spoke with Carlos. I honestly do not know which one of us he actually wanted to see. If my memories are correct, Monkey figured into my past and my story through Old Bird. I don’t recall seeing him the rest of the time I was in Chiapas.

Fortunately I was also able to spend a few days in Mexico City. There were some snags in the travel plans when an airline decided to shut-down toward the end of the trip, but it was a beautiful experience all the same. I look forward to going back to explore more of the temples and ruins.
