The Gold ‘N Silver is a restaurant in Reno, Nevada.

In 1991, a guy I knew, named Tony, took me there and it was the first time I had ever met a group similar to me (that I can remember, at least). Later I brought Ron there also and he said he never even knew a place like that existed. The people I met were Tony’s friends but he later left and Ron would only come around sporadically. It became a main hangout of mine for a year or so and came to represent more than just a piece of  high-school history.

As inspiration for the title of my next series, the Gold ‘n Silver is the parallel paths of the kindred, the ore within veins of the state, and the three bloodlines pulsing through my own veins.
