Seaside Gothic
I am not a professional photographer and do not have any known formal training in photography beyond the class I briefly took in high school 30+ years ago. One day I saw on Twitter that a UK publication I had never heard of before, Seaside Gothic, had opened submissions for a week. Not having any poems or fiction ready, I went through some of my vacation photos and submitted a few of those. The rejection e-mail echoed what others have told me about my photography-I have a natural aptitude for it. The response was beautifully affirming even if the publication was not right for my work at this time.
