Photo Notes

This is my grandfather’s handwriting. He is an ex-cop so maybe that level of detail is normal for them. There must be something significant about the photo being taken in March 1982 since I would have still been 8 years old.

It was right before picture day. My step-mom, Mindy, had become jealous of me over something and hacked off my hair. Our neighbor, Donna, tried to fix it for me.

Everyone has always spelled my nickname as “Nicci.” This is the first time I have seen a family member (my maternal grandmother) spell it “Nickey.”
