Two of the more elusive lines for my research have been Miller on my father’s side and Milleria on my mother’s side.

When my maternal great-grandmother  (Old Nani) was alive and came to visit us in Oak Harbor, she told us that she and my great-grandfather had gone to Rome to research their last names. While she was able to find her family (di Lorenzo) and their coat of arms, there was nothing for Milleria. The people assisting them wondered if the name had originated as Miller and came possibly from somewhere in the UK.
