Lesotho

My interest in the area was piqued by some of the ties my family has to South Africa. A great-grandfather (Robert Miller) did missionary work there and one of my great-aunts (Jane Roe) moved to South Africa. While I do not have much information, she and her husband, John, also died there.

Like many locations of the fae, Drakensburg is an alpine climate.

Lesotho is also known as the “Kingdom in the Sky.”

Lesotho also has the largest number of dinosaur footprints found in the entire world.

And it was the land of Drakensburg that was said to have inspired J.R.R. Tolkien’s descriptions of Middle Earth.

The first known human inhabitants in the area are said to have been the San.
