Joppa

Fans of the Desmond Davis 1981 film, Clash of the Titans, will remember that Perseus finds himself in Joppa after angering Thetis.

What is odd in the movie is that a minor Nereid like Thetis is standing among goddesses like Aphrodite and Aphrodite is almost silent throughout the film.

Joppa is named after the archangel Jophiel.
