Uyghur
The ancient ethnicity and ancestral origin of the Uyghur people are being contested by the Chinese government. This is because it is tied to land claims. Some Uyghurs believe they originate from the Tocharians and the Tarim mummies. Given the similarity of words, I would be surprised if there is not some link between the Uyghurs and Ugarit.
