Carving

Someone carved this for me. It was a gift or a replacement to me I think because the original had been destroyed and there were no photos of the person. I cannot remember if it was my child or husband and I also don’t remember if these were considered soul containers/vessels. He was hesitant to sign it but I said all artists do. Then he said he wasn’t an artist. This says otherwise. They took the stand and tore it from the head. I am glad this remained intact. When I bought it, the clerk said, “oh good.” Guess that made two of us.
